IRIB Ofogh (شبكهی افق, Shibkâhi-ye 'Feq, "The Horizon Channel" in Persian) is a television channel under the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) that has a global reach.
Launched on June 3, 2014, as a test broadcast exclusively in Tehran, IRIB Ofogh initially aired program trailers on the Alvand station, utilizing frequency 578 and designated as channel 22. On December 24, 2014, it expanded its broadcast nationwide and was officially established on February 27, 2015. The channel currently operates 24 hours a day, featuring a wide range of content, including documentaries, historical programming, and religious shows.
Sayyed Javad Ramadan Nejad serves as the current channel manager, having been appointed to this role in July 2014. According to Ramadan Nejad, the channel's programming approach is rooted in culture, art, and social themes, aligned with the discourse of the Islamic Revolution.
