RIB TV2 (Persian: شبكه دو, Shabakeh-ye Do, translated as Channel 2) is one of Iran's 40 national television channels, catering to Persian-speaking audiences in the Middle East. It is headquartered in Tehran and was established by the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting to accommodate the growing population of Iran. This channel serves as a complement to the existing IRIB TV1 and offers a diverse range of programming, including miniseries, comedies, children's shows, talk shows, news broadcasts, and original television films.
As of March 6, 2022, in line with IRIB's new policies, all news programs, including those from various channels, have been consolidated into IRINN. The news programs at 8:00 AM, 2:00 PM, 7:00 PM, and 9:00 PM from IRIB TV2 have been transferred, along with other news programs like "Special News Negotiation" (Ghoftegoyeh Vigeh Khabari), which now airs on IRINN along with "Tonight's Headline" (Titer Emshab). These changes are part of IRIB's broader strategy to enhance its other channels.
